 Record Description Steep ravine below intake wall at NY86850079, 400m. Type Site B (for woodland vegetation on Namurian Srata above the top of the Main Limestone with local enrichment from Tufa forming Springs). with Aspen clones. Juniper (isolated bush), Birch, Rowan, Sallow, Dog rose. Rarities include: Gymnocarpium dryopteris – Oak Fern Rubus saxatilis¬, Stone Bramble.

 Additional Notes Aspen groves like this are almost certainly cloned colonies. Reproduction is by root suckers or ramets. Areas accessible to rabbits or sheep show few young ramets. Individual trees are not of great age, however the colony could live indefinitely unless prevented from regenerating by rabbit damage or over grazing.
